Stayed in the hotel for 4 nights and was reasonable impressed with it as a city hotel. Lobby area was bright and clean and the location of the hotel is fairly central to both Granville Island and also Canada Place. Room was large if abit dark. My only complaint was that it smelt abit damp and there was a strong... more

The Holiday Inn Downtown Vancouver is a centrally located hotel within walking distance of many sites to see. The problem is the hotel is old and needs to be refurbished. Additionally, the air-conditioning does not work adequately in the summer and our room (Room 507) was extremely hot. The hotel staff was not helpful at all and just kept telling... more

This Holiday Inn is fairly standard Holiday Inn fare, which means no strong plusses, but no particular minuses either. However, it also means you can go there in the complete confidence that you will have a clean room and a comfortable bed for the night. The room we were allocated was an upgrade, and very large – about double the... more

Stayed at Holiday Inn for 3 nights while in Vancouver visiting my mom in hospital. My sister had already been in hotel for a week and was very happy with everything. Was pleasantly surprised by the great restaurant in hotel (didn't need to go anywhere else) as the food was reasonably priced and very good. The rooms were pretty typical... more

Stayed here for one night only on arrival in Vancouver, before we headed down to Seattle on The Quick Shuttle (which collects & returns from outside this hotel). The room was clean, the breakfast was pretty good with plenty of choices and the evening meal was ok. We had lunch in the bar before leaving the hotel and the staff... more

This was my first trip to Vancouver and I was merely interested in the location. I rented a car, but the hotel is so close to everything, including the Robson Square, that I wish I had just taken a cab from and back to the airport. If you are interested in the club scene, this hotel is just a couple... more

Better than expected! We stayed on the executive level (floors 7 or 8) for one night for business. We found the beds to be new with updated furniture then the last time we visited. The room was large enough to have a king bed, be able to set out our papers, a table, a comfort chair and foot stool and... more

Great hotel, although we only stayed one night, it was clean, very friendly staff, great bed and close to walk to many things. The restaurant on site had very good food, also and very nice waitresses. more

On the plus side: (1) Location is within walking distance (10-20 minutes) of such major downtown sites and areas such as Robson Square and Canada Place (2) Price is reasonable for a clean, reasonably comfortable mid-range hotel in a major city (3) Staff were extraordinarily friendly and seemed genuinely glad to see you... On the negative side: (1) I found... more

We spent three nights at the Holiday Inn Downtown Vancouver at the beginning of our month trip through BC. We had terrible jet lag after 2-day flight from Australia so we would have been happy with anything for the first night. However, we were pleasantly suprised by the standard. We found the desk clerks to be very friendly and helpful... more
