The hotel is very beautiful! The bar is updated and modern, but that's about it. The bed's are INCREDIBLY hard, not just stiff, but very hard to sleep in. I hardly slept at all!! But since I didn't plan on spending too much time int he room I didn't worry too much about amenities or anything else, this is a... more

my husband and i and two other couples recently stayed at the alameda. the location is excellent, we stayed in the older section at the back of the hotel. no window to the street, only on the inside paito. therefore no noise and no light! i have never slept better at a hotel! we stayed 5 nights as we were... more

As mentioned in previous reviews, the location is unbeatable. Directly on a charming zocalo with imposing cathedral and numerous restaurants and bars. Sections of the hotel are built in older buildings with courtyards and interesting architecture. With that said, I was pretty unhappy with my room. I reserved a king bed room, but received two small twins. The room had... more

My family stayed at this hotel for 2 nights -- basically a good experience. When we first arrived both of our rooms had a number of problems -- there were lights not working in both rooms (and lighting was limited even with all lights working). One of the switches gave our bellman a shock when he tried to turn it... more

This is a top option in Morelia if you are looking for a nice location downtown. They are steps away from the Candy Market, the Cathedral, and the arcs, where you will find some restraurants and caffe. The staff is very kind and you will have a very pleasant stay. I try to stay at this hotel everytime in Morelia. more

I spent 2 nights here. Can't beat the location, right on the main Plaza. Safe Parking garage very close by. Airconditioning. Friendly efficient staff. I did not eat at the restaurant but it did look good. I think I paid $85.00 per night. No noise issues. Good shopping near by. I will stay here on my next trip to Morellia.... more

I stayed in the older part of the hotel which is definitely quieter than the new. However, while the design is attractive - all built around courtyards - this leads to noiuse spiralling up from the cathedral bells that toll every hour, the traffic and the hotel's own live music. I stayed during the celebrations of the birth of Morales... more

We spent 3 days in Morelia, 2 of those at Hotel Alameda, we asked for a room in the new, less noisy section. Room was fine, service was Ok, great location, and price was pretty good considering the location. The only thing my wife and I complained about was noise. Rooms are not well insulated and there was noise from... more

At the Alemeda we were on the third floor front in the new section. <> Three large windows overlooking the square. The sun streamed in every morning and at night you could watch the action down below. On Sat we had fire works at our windows. Thermostatically controlled heat /cooling. Closets and two queen beds. Unlike the other so called... more
