Our seven day stay was simply the most relaxing vacation we have ever taken. La Conchita is a great little hotel and is extremely well maintained. Our cabin, number 6, was a nice size with hot/cool running water any time of the day. Candles and bottled water are provided. The lights are on from 7PM to 10PM. The overhead full-sized... more

We stayed for 6 nights the first of August and had a great time. Previous reviewers prepared us well for what we should expect -- no A/C, power, etc. We stayed in cabana #4 which was situated on the second floor, set back from the ocean but still closer than most beachfront rooms at other resorts. You had a partial... more

My wife and I stayed at LaConchita for 5 days in December 2007 to celebrate our anniversary. We were looking for a relaxing and peaceful place to stay, and LaConchita delivered. I read most all the reviews on Trip Advisor for LaConchita, and they are all very accurate. The breakfasts are indeed very good, with the best OJ I've ever... more

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out where to stay in Tulum. We had only been to the ruins before and somehow I got hooked on staying on one of these little cabanas. Okay our cabana wasn't so little, we took cabana #2 which is quite large, two floors and lots of room for three people. We... more

I did a lot of research on Tulum and places to stay b/4 we went in early May - even had reservations at Zamas - but very happy I cancelled them in favor of La Conchita. Other reviews covered all the great things - breakfast (wow) - the pretty-much private beach - clean rooms - coolers/safes-super friendly staff. Here are... more

We needed somewhere to stay for one night as we had arrived in Tulum a day earlier than expected due to the previous hotel in the Chichen area being completely soulless. Cabanas la Conchita was our first choice but they do not have a direct phone line so we decided to drive to Tulum early as we had been told... more

Onto Cabanas La Conchita. I am surprised at how busy the beach road seems. Finally after 7 hours we arrive and cross the threshold into the reception area and its almost like a wall comes down and you are on a different planet!! It suddenly seems very quiet and peaceful. Jorges is there to welcome us and gives an orientation... more

The other reviews have been very accurate, so rather than repeat the details, here's is what it's like. When you wake up, you shuffle through the sand to a delicious breakfast. After quickly ordering from the friendly staff, you start with coffee, yogurt, granola, and fresh fruit. Then you're served a delicious breakfast. When you finish your plate, the staff... more

The stretch of beach the cabanas are located on is quiet and beautiful, a perfect place to relax and unwind. They take care of the little details, such as providing a cooler for enjoying your drinks on the beach and having plenty of bottled water for use in the bathroom. The rooms are very clean and airy. Having no electricity... more

I booked our week stay here well in advance, as it was Easter week. The people at Different World were very efficient, and we had no problems with the booking. The cabanas are beautifully decorated, and the whole setting is what you would expect from Tulum. The electric goes off at 10pm, which in my mind only made it more... more
