A friend and I stayed here for a get-away in Nov. 2006 and could not have been happier. It is gorgeous with the traditional mexican decor touches. ABOVE ALL - the beach is perhaps the most amazing I have ever been to - and I have been to a lot! The owners were very helpful and kind and the staff... more

Las Ranitas is a magical place. I stayed there during the offseason and it felt like I had stumbled on to a lovely, forgotten luxury hotel at the edge of the jungle facing this magnificent (and practically empty!) powdery white sand beach. The grounds were beautiful, with meandering stone paths, a tennis court, 2 swimming pools and massage palapa. The... more

walked the length of the Tulum beach and Las Ranitas truly has one of the best stretches of beach. The hotel has a large, secluded section of the beach as well. I you are looking for a peaceful retreat then this is a great choice. Each of the cabanas have a hammock and most have a view of the ocean.... more

I spent the first two weeks of December 2007 in Mexico, dividing my time between Akumal (3 days) and Tulum (8 days). My travel companion had bailed at the last minute, so I was unexpectedly alone on this trip. The staff at Las Ranitas were a big part of what made my stay so enjoyable. Keep in mind as you... more

I just returned last night from a week at Las Ranitas. I wanted to take a trip alone, for quiet relaxation and contemplation. Being a single woman traveler, I was looking for security, not outrageous pricing, a great beach and comfortable hotel. I got all of that and more. Although some of the reviews here were not so great, I... more

This is a sweet hotel in a lovely part of Tulum and it could have been a beautiful vacation were it not for an impending hurricane. The staff was wonderful, immediately advised us of the potential danger and was more than willing to refund the remainder of our prepaid stay and help our family (including two children under 5) evacuate.... more

We have been to Mexico over thirty times...interior and both coasts. We've paid anywhere from $100 per night to $800, so this isn't our first rodeo! We were looking for a quick drop-out trip and chose Tulum. We initially checked into another property arriving after 10 at night, and would have stayed if it had wall outlets. Read about Las... more
