We just got back on Sat. from the so called "new" Oasis. It's not new, the people are rude, the elevator might fit 4 people in it if you want to wait 20 minutes for it. We took the stairs to our room 434. The elevator did break down while we were there. We went for our Anniversary with 2... more

If this was my first visit to Cancun, I would never ever go back! This hotel was awful. Apparently open only a few months, they have a mountain of maintenance problems. Just to mention a few: power outages, A/C breakdown, backing up sewage in the toilets, one unventilated cramped constantly breaking down little elevator, no running water or just cold... more

The best gift you'll give yourself on your vacation at the Oasis Viva Beach is to upgrade your room. It's $50/night (they say $100/night, but immediately offer it to you for 1/2 off). The service, food, rooms and pools were EXCELLENT. Stayed there for 4 days for a girls getaway and we had a blast. Go see the guys by... more

First the positives; the resort was very clean, the employees did a nice job of keeping the resort clean,(except for the beach) the food at the sushi bar was very good, however, the service was very slow. Well that is it for the positives, it seemed to me that the employee's did not like americans very much, (we tipped everyone... more

First off this hotel is just an addition to the oasis viva beach. there is no seperate "Grand" hotel. The rooms were very nice; however, the food was terrible. The best place to eat breakfast and lunch is the La Fuente (internation buffet), and that is a stretch to say it is good. The best place for dinner was Dos... more

This was a great experience! My girlfriend and I went for a weekend getaway. After reading the reviews before we left I was a little unnerved about this resort. I spoke with my Bookit.com representative many times before leaving and she reassured me that the stay would be fine. She was right! The resort was awesome! We received great service... more

Hola!!! Thanks to all the previous reviews, we were ready to not get our hopes up and knew what to expect. We had a marvelous time making the most of every moment we had. As long as you dont let the minor things get to you, you will have a great time. No real big compliments. beware of the free... more

We stayed at the Grand Oasis Viva Beach, and were pleasantly surprised. This was our first trip back to Cancun in 15 years, and really didn’t know what we were getting into. We have kids 10, 15, and 18… and this turned out to be a great place – peaceful enough for us, and with (just) enough bar activity for... more

This hotel is set in a location away from the club distrist and noise. So if you are looking to have a quiet vacation; this is the hotel for you. I didn't mind the hotel, it's clean and Contemporary looking. I went with a group of my friends girls & guys. I wouldn't say this hotel is good for young... more

First of all, the hallways and elevators are not air conditioned. The Grand Oasis Viva Beach and Oasis Viva Beach are the same hotel. Just two buildings and two front desks. The food was O.K. There wasn' t 24 hr room service and the restaurants were only open certain hours. The drinks also O.K. The staff wasn't too friendly. Only... more
