Spent three nights in the Presidente while on a business trip earlier this month. I am frankly gobsmacked that InterContinental would want to associate its brand with this property. I have stayed at several of their other hotels around the world, and it is a disservice to those other superb properties to be associated with this dump. There were some... more

I have read many reviews before coming to this hotel, and my general opinion was negative throughout my entire trip to Cancun. But when I entered the glass doors to the hotel my opinion changed with a clean and modern lobby. The employes were hospitible and provided a worthy service. However, the rooms were mediocre. We got the Deluxe Ocean... more

We just returned from a two week stay in Cancun. We stayed at three different hotels during our trip because we were locked in on specific dates for a presidential suite and got great prices on flights flying mid-week, which allowed us to spend the extra money extending our trip. The other hotels during our trip were the Moon Palace... more

My wife - then girlfriend - and I went off to Cancun for our first extended vacation together. We booked through American Airlines and chose the hotel on the price and on the beach location. The location is great. Don't be fooled by other parts of Cancun. Further down the Zona - as toward Club Med - the beach and... more

I was leery about booking this hotel given some of the recent negative feedback, but my wife and I were so happy that we did. Here are the positives: 1. Great location - close to grocery store and a few cheap eats across the street, bus stop in front of hotel (yes use the bus Rt. 1 it will take... more

Hi, First I joined TA this year so I am catching up with reviews from current to past trips. We stayed here the third week in June for 6 nights 2006 (didn’t bring the kids this time) Check in: no problems, fast, friendly. The Resort is old and it shows. I don’t bother about those things, but if you want... more

Firstly, you can't book directly and expect to get a decent rate. We booked two rooms back in January with hotels.com and paid $180. The hotel is old - no doubt about it. The grounds and pools are where the main effort is spent to keep things up. Our rooms looked old and tired. The rooms have a stone /... more

My girlfriend and I were due a vacation, but weren't sure where to go. Europe was off limits because of the exchange rate. ($7.50 for a little Coke, yeah right....) We both agreed on Cancun. I found a good deal on Orbitz and booked it. I spent the next month and a half checking TA reviews. I will say that... more

We really enjoyed our stay - the food in all of the restaurants was excellent, the rooms were nice, and we had a great view. The beach was FANTASTIC - the best in Cancun. The service at the bars was a bit slow but other than that we really didn't have any issues. Rented a car for two days and... more

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The public relations image this hotel chain wants to project is that of a high-end line of hotels. While the staff was friendly and helpful, this particular hotel in Cancun has seen better days. For instance, the rugs in the hallways leading to the rooms were worn out and are in need... more
