Thank you to my Sheboygan reviewers--right on point. El Cid was the nastiest, dirtiest, over-priced, waist of 5 days I have ever spent. Dont go here unless they pay you to! more

Only complaint: bed was hard. We did all inclusive with ocean view room: wonderful option. We had no problem with service (although we did tip). A note on the tipping...we brought dollar coins so that we could take them in the ocean and pool. But they were NOT a hit with most staff as they explained they would have problems... more

Where do I begin, first of all I consider myself a experienced and open minded traveler with a new adventure always around the corner. Mazatlan is like being in the Ghetto on the ocean, it is dirty, smelly and the water is murky brown. It is not the picture of paradise. We were traveling with a large group for a... more

Stayed at the Castilla Beach Hotel and had a wonderful time. We did not do all inclusive. Brought a cooler with us and took to the beach as well as the pool area. Also took advantage of happy hour. The pool on the Morro side tends to be livlier than the Catilla side. Beds were hard (expected) but called down... more

My second trip to Mazatlan found me staying at the El Cid Castilla Beach hotel (adjoined with the neighboring property; the Moro tower). This all inclusive resort is not only the largest hotel property in Mazatlan, but it's located at the northern tip of the golden zone (tourist zone) at the end of the resort hotels. Its location is very... more

We booked this through the Alaska Airlines Vacations website, it offered some great discounts. Overall, it was a great value for the money, especially for the all-inclusive deal. For some of the detractors, if you are paying hamburger prices, don't expect filet mignon quality! My wife, my three year old son, and I spent six nights there and we loved... more

My husband and I and our 11 year old daughter recently visited Mazatlan in Mexico and had a fabulous time. We stayed at the El Castillo Hotel - part of the El Cid group - on an All Inclusive basis. The staff could not have been more helpful or courteous and the room and food were excellent - there are... more

El Cid Castilla was terrible. They first took 45 mins to check us in. There was no one else in line that was strictly our check in time. We went to our room, it had not been cleaned and was right over the pool renovation. We immediately went to reception to talk to the mgr. He begrudgingly moved us to... more

Stayed at El Cid May13-17. Booked at the Castilla (all inclusive), due to the pool being renovated, we received a free upgrade to the Moro (connected sister hotel). The rooms were amazing, two separate bath rooms (a tub that holds all four of us, 2 adults 2 kids), living area with a murphy bed, and a big bed room. Panoramic... more

The staff is mostly friendly. If you tip good they will treat you like royalty. we are a family of four and had a great time. this... more
