I just happened to stay here for a few days and felt very comfortable. It was within close walking distance of shoppin and Old Monterrey where you can dine and go clubbing. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was excellent and very helpful. The rooms did show some wear, but were more than adequate. The location was very convenient. I was not aware of any safety issues here. I definitely would consider staying here when I return to Monterrey. more

This is touted as a 5 star hotel but only in the lobby. The rooms were average for amenities and many things were in disrepair. I am disappointed with my stay at one of Monterrey’s premier hotels. In my opinion for a hotel to maintain a four star rating service and accommodations should be above average. They should extend into all aspects of ones stay not just the front lobby. I have stayed at other hotels in Mexico including the Sheraton Isabella in Mexico City.... more
