I spent some days in Loreto at Baja OutPost with my friends (it was my first time in Baja California) and I suggest to try it. It is more that an hotel and its owner (Leon) has a great experience in diving and loves so much nature where he lives. That's why I'm so exiting about my experience in Loreto... more

Leon, the owner, is a long experienced diver and shares his beautiful lodge situated in front of the Loreto Malecon in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. 6 beautifully furnished palapas and 4 standard rooms with A/C, a nice pool being completed, a quite patio and full equipment for diving and snorkeling in the superb Cortez Sea and the nearby Isla... more

Baja Outpost is truly a special place. The hotel is beautiful, and both the service and friendliness of the staff are fantastic. I would highly recommend this place if you want a sleepy, relaxing getaway in Baja without the hassle of big hotels and loud tourists. Trips out to the islands for snorkling or SCUBA were a fun way to... more

This was our second visit at Baja Outpost and once again we were not disappointed. We love staying there and their service and friendliness is awesome. We did the beach and snorkeling tours of Isla Coronado and Isla del Carmen. Both great. Water visibility was better than I expected. Especially in Isla del Carmen. We even got to spot a... more

The authentic palapa rooms have the most comfortable beds and some of best showers I experienced in Baja. The included breakfast is substantial and fresh. The manager Leon, is always keen to assist you with information and to sit and tell a story or two. Highly recommended place to stay. more

We stayed one night at the hotel and hired kayaks to go around the Islands (Carmen and Danzante) during the following 4 days. It was really easy to organize the whole trip from the USA by contacting Leon (the owner) through email (outpost@bajaoutpost.com). He can provide you with lodging (in cozy and clean palapas), breakfast (gorgeous buffet) and activities (in... more

I just spent four nights at the Outpost and highly recommend it. Reasons: LOCATION: The location was perfect (right on the Malecon, easy walk to anywhere in town). Some reviews on this site mention noise of a neigboring bar; I didn't find it loud at all. Bring earplugs if you are sensitive, but it's not really apparent. ROOMS: the rooms... more
