We really enjoyed our stay at the Rio Mar. We did not eat at the hotel, but went to local places for dinner. We got a refrigerator for the room and went to the grocery store for things to eat for breakfast and lunch. The beach was very nice and the pools were great. We enjoyed the daily iguana feedings.... more

We stayed here for 2nights 7/31 and 8/1. The resort is beautiful. The landscaping is amazing, the beach and pool areas are beautiful as well. The room we had was a bit old and dirty. Nothing horrible, but not anything great. Housekeeping was bad to non existant, and they charge you $2.50 a day on your bill so keep that... more

This trip was relaxing and great. First off the room had a great view of the mountains. rainforest and lanscape. You really feel like you're on a vacation, plus each room has a private balcony. My freind and i arrived in San Juan July 21 and we were a bit nervous that we wouldnt find our way around easily. We... more

No Internet! My employer booked this hotel for a one week worldwide Sales Conference. This was a group of about 300 people. Some presenters had to have Internet working in order to present. Most of the attendees also needed internet to check email and get some work done. The Wi-Fi internet network did not work at all the first day... more

My husband and I spent last week at the Rio Mar and had a wonderful time. The staff are professional and helpful. Shuttles run like clockwork, as do the golf course and spa. The resort is beautiful - landscaping and beach are gorgeous. The beach sand is the color of light brown sugar and the water is cool and clear... more

I read most of the reviews before we went, and all I have to say is, all the negative reviews, forget most of them. We had the most wonderful and relaxing time we ever had. Sometimes, when I get stressed at work I think about our time at the Rio Mar. My wife had the spa treatment while I went... more

I booked a 5 night vacation at the Rio Mar through CheapCaribbean.com. Here are the "pros" and "cons" of the hotel: Pros: (1) Very good location! Luquillo Beach is one of the nicest beaches on the island. (2) It's directly across from the rainforest. (3) The views of the rainforest are beautiful (4) The golf course is the nicest in... more

We booked our stay as Wyndham TimeShare owners. We were looking for a resort to get away and do nothing. We wanted pool, beach, and great weather. It was a getaway from our kids for my wife and I. We read almost all the reviews over the last year and read many good and many not so good. We felt... more

This was our first trip to Rio Mar and chose to stay there over El Conquistador because of the beach access. It turned out to be a great choice. We opted to rent a car from SJU and arrived at the hotel within 45 Minutes. After surrendering our Vehicle to the valet attendant, we went check in and found that... more

We just got back from staying 4 days at the Wyndham Rio Mar Beach Resort in Rio Grande, PR. We had a great time! It was beautiful and very classy. The food is very expensive though. We went out to eat every day and we had to rent a car to get where we wanted to go. The resort is... more
