This goList describes my trip to Israel with my husband in September. It was his first time and my third trip. Our goal was to see as much as we could in the short time we had and also to visit family.
Ave price: $389
Nice hotel and good location.
2. Museum of the Jewish Diaspora (Bet Hatefutsoth)
Not really worth a visit. Museum is in desperate need of renovation.
interesting place to visit while you are in Tel Aviv.
Wonderful newly redeveloped area. Great restaurants and good people watching.
5. Caesarea
very interesting ancient ruins. Also, good restaurants and a nice beach. You can spend the whole day here.
Beautiful City to visit. A definite must see while you are in Israel. Great views.
7. Baha'i Gardens and Golden Dome
call in advance to make arrangements for the free tour. Its definitely worth a visit.
A little different from some of the other national parks. The ancient mosaics are worth stopping for. Many active excavations going on.
Ave price: $240
Hotel is ok. Rooms are fine. Location is great. You can walk to Ben Yehuda street, old city, just about anywhere.
10. Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial
must see. Museum has been recently renovated.
The spa is kind of gross, but its worth it just to float in the dead sea.
easy day trip from Jerusalem. you can drive through the west bank to save time. It was safe.
A very beautiful and spiritual place.
14. Western (Wailing) Wall Tunnel
One of the most interesting things I've seen. Reserve a tour several days in advance.
A museum that is slighly off the beaten path in the old city. But, its really incredible. There is an unbelivable amount of artifacts and ruins.
