This independent bookstore near 16th street mall is a Denver landmark and a great place to spend a few hours on any afternoon. The book selection and knowledgable staff are anything but formidable and overwhelming. The store layout is perfect. I'd highly recommend this bookstore. more

This place has a great atmosphere to it. Situated on the 16th Street Mall toward the Millennium Bridge, it was a nice pit stop after a long, hot walk today. Books and magazines as far as the eye could see. Great little tuckaway areas to read or peruse. Overall, a recommended stop to see what large, great bookstores looked like... more

The Tattered Cover is everything a bookshope should be - huge, comfortable, relaxed but organised and stacked to the roof with books, maps, magazines, greetings card, but mostly, books. The cafe on the ground floor could be a little larger, but then there would be less room for stock. I cant imagine going to Denver without visiting the Tattered Cover.... more
