We had a great afternoon visiting COPIA in February 2008. Entrance was free for all of February which was an added bonus. We took a Food&Wine pairing class which was both informative and fun. It was not really long enough to give us a deep insight into the subject but was a fun and unusual thing to do. What we... more

This is a great place for learning about wine & food. For a $5 admission, my wife and I took the guided tour and attended a half hour cooking demonstration. We also attended a one-hour class on wine and food pairings for an extra $10. There are tasting stations where you can sample 40 different wines. You first purchase a... more

I have been wanting to go to Copia since it opened several years ago. We went today and were pleasingly surprised they had cut the entrance fee in half. I found out why-to increase attendance. It was very lightly attended for a summer afternoon day. There is really not much to do there. Just a few modest rooms with displays.... more

COPIA was the first place we stopped when we arrived in Napa last Thursday. We had heard they had a really great selection of cookbooks in their gift shop and we were very pleased. We spent time browsing through the Julia Child's cookbooks and also the local restaurants. Two of our favorites, Napa Valley Grille and the French Laundry cookbooks... more

We had a great time at COPIA in July 2006. Granted, part of the attraction for us was the air-conditioned environment during what had to be one of the hotest weeks in the history of Napa Valley. But beyond the comfort, COPIA was just a lot of fun. Always something interesting to see or do, and people handing out free... more

It was great and we learned a lot! We also at at the American Marketplace, their deli. It was good. The place is great to visit with the entire family and it is... more

If you are a foodie- take the time to go through the museum. Hubby and I relly enjoyed the standing exhibit as well as the traveling can good sculpture exhibit. The champagne tasting was fun and we might have stayed for more of the talks if we would not have needed to go to St. Helena for the afternoon. In... more

Very nice, staff had great suggestions for tours and wineries to visit. Also had good recommendations for local places to eat. Nice for a 1/2 day visit. Coupons are available along with wine tastings for small fee at the general store downtown. Overall worthwhile and fun, julia's kitchen has great food look for specials and deals when you visit and... more

It was decent, but I've deffinitely had much better food in the area. Don Giovanni for starters. It's ok if you want to impress people with how much your food was or how well-spoken the waiter is, but outside of that is was marginal at best. Even though we got half off due to knowing an employee I still wouldn't... more

My husband and I visited Copia last week during a 3 day trip to the wine country. I would say it was the low point of our trip. The building is impressive, with interesting architecture and some permanent art installations, but the exhibits are very limited. The permanent exhibit, named something to do with a fork, was a disappointment. They... more
