We spent more than 7 days visiting Istanbul and we stayed in Garden House, a nice hotel in SultanAhmet area. This was our first visit. Sultanahmet is an enchanting location. Very old, very interesting. Walking everywhere is ideal and seemed to be safe. Most things are close. The public transportation is also easy. Most of all, take the time to really enjoy the surroundings, the buildings and the people. Do allow plenty of time in the Grand Bazaar. Bargain like crazy. And the restaurants in... more
