I spent part of a summer (2002) living in the chateau as a student studying art through University of California Davis. The chateau is beautiful, and filled with Henry and Marie Clew's eccentric artisitic details. It was such a unique once-in-a-lifetime experience to live there. I was there in 1974 while my ship was participating in the 30th anniversary of the Allied landing in Southern France, so I'm drawing on memories from almost 30 years ago and every now and then looking through the pamphlets and photos of Henry' art, but if I had the opportunity to travel to France, the castle of Henry Clews... more
