I love this museum! It’s so different from all the other museums in Paris. Some of the sculptures are kept inside a mansion on the grounds and some are kept outside in the rose gardens. The gardens are the best part, I even laid down for awhile to read a book. The roses are gorgeous and Rodin’s work is truly... more

Went to the Rodin Museum in late June. It is a wonderful change from stuffy museums. As soon as you pay, you go straight to the garden. This has a beautiful garden with The Thinker and The Gates of Hell, with a house with more sculptures inside. Anyone under 18 is free. It was a somewhat hot day when we... more

I agree with the reviewer who recommended the Rodin Museum for an arrival day destination...The Musee d'Orsay is too much in my opinion for jetlagged eyes and feet to cover upon arrival..It demands a rested approach...In addition to the photographic opportunities the Rodin affords, it's simply a nice place to sit in the garden and enjoy the incredible beauty of... more

My husband and I visited Paris in May and the Musee Rodin was one of our favorites. On the morning of our first full day after arriving from Boston, we attempted the Musee D'Orsay. The crowds and jet lag hit us about 30 minutes into our visit there so, feeling quite overwhelmed, we quickly finished our self-guided tour and headed... more

First - get the Paris Museum Pass before you go. We bought ours in London at the Eurostar Terminal. The pass will get you by all the lines. They are also available at tourist information booths and museums throughout paris. When we were there at the end of April, the line went around the corner, we bypassed it and walked... more

On recent trip to Paris, my husband and visited the Rodin Museum and we were both very pleased with the whole experience. The museum is very close to Les Invalides and is easily accessed by Metro. Hotel Biron is a rococo mansion with about sixteen exhibit rooms. Each room has only two or three sculptures so you can enjoy each... more

What is so weird is that we arrive and are like, "oh he's the one that did this sculpture"! I love the famous ones such as the Thinker and Gates of Hell. Absolutely spectacular. There is also some rooms when you first enter museum of a Japanese artist. I'm really bad at remembering names though so I can't remember who... more

Although I'm not a huge sculpture fan, it was difficult not to appreciate the beautiful, famous and familiar pieces throughout this museum and its grounds. The building itself is a little worn, with some creaky floors, but the art within is clearly world-class and not to be missed. The location is an easy walk from the Rue Cler area and... more

Of all the museums in Paris, this is perhaps the most underrated. The museum is actually housed in Rodin's former house! "The Thinker" sits right outside in his sculpture garden! Because most of the pieces are displayed as they were during Rodin's lifetime, this museum offers a much more personal experience than other museums. I can't recommend it enough. more

The Rodin museum is absolutely, without a doubt, my favorite museum in the world! (Granted I am a huge fan of Rodin and, more particularly, Camille Claudel.) I block out a day to spend there every time I'm in Paris. (This would probably be too much for most people. I'm a little obsessive.) The location is convenient to other "things... more
