Ueno park is basically Tokyo's version of Central Park; lots of museums, a zoo, and attractions within the park grounds itself. In Cherry blossom time Japanese people spread plastic sheets on the ground beneath the flowering trees and have picnics - men in business suits sitting cross leggedcon the ground drinking whisky and eating with chopsticks, while thousands of people walk past enjoying the brief blossom season!
