This hotel is very well situated for the metro.however we did not find the staff very helpful, we stayed 2 nights on our way to goreme, and had to ask for the room to cleaned. On the way back, the desk would not accept out hotel club voucher and said they had never heard of the company, despite us having... more

my colleague booked a hotel for our business trip. I stayed two nights. After nightnarish experience at Etap Altinel Ankara hotel couple of weeks previous to this visit I was a bit worried what this was going to be like - especially after reading not so nice reviews on this site. However! Hotel was great surprise. I wouldn't say everything... more

I travelled to Ankara for what was my first of many business visits. hotel was recommended by one of the local businessman. I found hotel to have only acceptable reception, loby and eating area. The rest of teh hotel was in horrible state. Rooms were "worn and torn" - carpets filthy, swimming pool area was plain scary. When speaking of... more

Esenboga Airport Hotel

Not bad. room was clean and spacious. Aircon a bit dodgy and shower temperamental. Good pool and leisure facilities. Food ok - I had the buffet for dinner, lots of cold meat, cheese, salads, etc. 3 or 4 hot choices - mainly local dishes. Good breakfast ,plenty fruit cheese, eggs , etc. Located 30-60 mins from Ankara centre depending on traffic. Not... more

A real jewel. Genuine ottoman house well renovated and furnished with antics. Located inside the citadel, it is quiet at night. The interior small garden is perfect for a drink and the morning breakfast. more

The hilltop citadel of Ankara is a fascinating mixture of decrepit and renovated buildings with a Roman and Byzantine history. Angora House is one of the renovated Ottoman houses in the area and provides a delightful location for a stay in Ankara. The nearby antiquities museum is a must, as it has a magnificent collection of objects from all over... more

King Guvenlik

Jul 16, 2008

I stayed at the King Hotel for two days in July of 2008, and while the hotel itself was comfotable and adequate, the staff was intolerable. The grumpy and disaffected front desk receptionists (all three of them) completely ruined my holiday; I avoided coming and going freely just to avoid an encounter with them. They seemed to treat "regulars" with... more

Stayed in this hotel for a business trip. It's got a very corporate and businesslike feel about it, with the convention centre in the same building. I asked for a non-smoking room which was fine, however I think I did do a trade between that and a nicer view. My room was a good size (not massive though), on the... more

This hotel is very tired at the edges. I can't agree with the reviewer who said only go to this hotel if you are on a tour, don't stay there then either; we were on a tour and it was the worst hotel we stayed in in Western Turkey, yet it had the highest star rating. It had no plusses;... more

the best, by far international joint in GOP. Should be that seems like the small Sodermalm Caffes. I believe it is a pitty to remain on the pizzas section and taste nothing of the rest menu. I like the ways the turkish indigrents are melanging with the western tips + tricks. Efes or Gusta are perfectly chilled 4 the summer... more

Angora House is the best hotel we stayed in during our trip to Turkey. The location in the Citadel within easy walking distance to the great Anthropology Museum was perfect. But it was the room that we adored. My husband and I are both extremely tall and were getting quite use to having our toes hang off our Turkish beds.... more

Situated in a bustling side street in an area of Ankara where very little English appears to be spoken. There is really not a lot to say about it, like so many hotels in Turkey the rooms are dated but are comfortable enough. It's a bit noisy too - there are bars and restaurants all the way down the street... more
