Gamirasu Cave Hotel

Sep 3, 2008

Honestly, the most fantastic location my wife and I have ever stayed. Having been to over 50 countries, we LOVED this place. As a matter of fact, we were married there on 29JUN07, stayed in their cave suite and were treated like royalty (really!). The Gamirasu staff are the most friendly and accommodating hotel staff we have encountered. Check their... more

Sultan Cave Suites

Just amazing views from a one or two bedroom cave suite. The evening we arrived after an early morning flight from Istanbul and day long tour in Cappodicia, we found no water in the room at all under the shower. There is no on-site office and it took me half an hour to find someone who works for the hotel.... more

The place was very nice and beautiful! Nice views over most of the "stone-town". Not from the rooms themselves, but from the terraces which can be found just a few steps from any room. The attitude of the owner was very supportive and friendly. Breakfirst was nicely served and decent. Free internet was a nice plus. more

Before we left for Turkey, we couldn't decide whether to spend a little extra to stay at the Kismet Cave hotel. After reading the reviews, we decided it was a "no-brainer" and went for it. Now that we are back, we know we made the right decision. Not only is the hotel beautiful, but everything written about the owner Faruk... more

During our stay in Cappadocia, we were very fortunate to spend three marvellous days at the Temenni Evi, a distinct stone structure perched proudly on Temenni Hill. This hotel is truly a tribute to the ancient civilizations of Cappadocia, and the epitome of Turkish hospitality. The owner/operators of the hotel are a lovely Turkish couple Sadettin (a.k.a Sado) and Cevahir... more

We had an amazing 3 day stay here, the weather was hot, the pool is stunningly beautiful and icy cold! The staff were very attentive, although we found the reception staff a little offhand. The 2 rooms we had were beautiful and well stocked. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner, they even brought us shawls late at night... more

Great stuff and very nice & quiet place to stay. Very clean, simple and beautiful room. Nice bathroom and terrace with great view. Authentic ambient. I would like to thank Ms.Demirci, Cem (Marmelade) and his friend, Cem's little sister, Mr.Irfan and overall mastermind - Mr. Mustafa for their great hospitality during our stay in their hotel. I definitely recommend this... more

From the moment the lovely Abdullah responded to our email enquiry about accommodation, we knew it would be excellent! The hotel is beautiful - the property amazing, the room beautiful, the location and experience magical. Pictures do not do this place justice - I felt like I'd entered into a fantasy when we arrived! Aside from the environment of the... more

We discovered the Kismit Cave House on the Cappadocia web site and booked our stay directly with Mr. Faruk. My husband was born in Turkey so every time we go to visit relatives we add a historical side trip. How lucky we were to have chosen this cave house. There is little to add to all the glowing reviews already... more

Stayed 3 nights in August and wish it could have been longer. The cave rooms are beautifully furnished and equipped and are so cool you don't need aircon (a blessed relief). Lots of sitting out space, great view from the terrace where they serve breakfast and dinner. Very helpful about where to go and what to do. Any problems -... more

Our time in the Cappadocia region of Turkey was made more enjoyable by our stay at the Cave Hotel Saksagan in Goreme. This hotel met all of our expectations of a lovely family run hotel. In our 10 day trip to Turkey, the time we spent here was clearly the high point. Beyond the wonder of staying in a cave room, what is truly unique about this hotel is the owner, Faruk. This wonderful man is so invested in Cappadocia that he goes way beyond the call of duty to help his guests get the... more

We stayed at YUNEK EVLERI for a weekend and found the warmth and attention to detail close to perfection. The hotel is beautifully located & well designed with spacious rooms (they upgraded us to a Suite at no extra charge-just because it was available!) and beautiful views. The owners/managers Abdulla and Hussein were warm, helpful and extremely efficient in every... more

this restaurant (Goreme Restaurant is their name)has prime real estate and the most exotic decoration. we decided to try it and we selected fried calamari and mezes because a friend of ours was eating them. 50 minutes later (with nobody else in the restaurant - we were by ourselves at 7 p.m.) 12 itty bitty calamari rings showed up on... more

Overall we found this boutique hotel to be exceptional value and provide great service. Staff were able to advise and make arrangements for everything from meals, tours, transportation and booking a hammam appointment. They can do as much or as little as you need. One of the best things to do was lie out in the covered terrace, relax on... more

I stayed two cave hotels and this one beats the other by 100 to 1. All the nice things mentioned in this web are all true and I have nothing to add. The hotel is at the top of the hill where are many cave hotels are. Wonderful view! But it also means a lot of walking. NO shops within... more
