OK, the title is a bit of an exageration - but who would've expected this foodie heaven at the end of the world? My little group, which went there last December, insisted the head chef come out so we could applaud him. Order the Magellanic crab - amazing! more

Hotel Rio Serrano

I should start by saying that all hotels in Torre del Paine Park area are expensive. Its a question of small supply of hotel rooms with a big demand. So you are paying over the odds everywhere, and have to accept that. We drove ourselves from Puerto Natales, so had the transport to get around the park. The park itself... more

Costa Australis

Jul 25, 2008

The reviews I read about the hotel are fair. The Costa Australis hotel is centrally located in Puerto Natales. The hotel is very comfortable with and an excellent lounge area over looking the sea. The rooms let it down a bit. More middle of the market chain hotel rooms than genuine 4 star. In other words functional, clean, a bit... more

Chalet Chapital Hotel

Jul 23, 2008

Just off the centre of town, Hotel Chalet Chapital is very well located. We found the Staff at the hotel very helpful in every aspect including the use of the kitchen in the eveniong to cook a meal when we wanted a simple meal with a nice botle of wine. more

Comfortable, clean and good service My husband and I stayed in Casa Cecilia for just one night before heading off to Torres del Paine, I contacted Casa Cecilia two months before our arrival to secure a reservation and to ask them to please help us arrange our hiking to trip to Torres del Paine. Communicating with them via email was... more

one of the most impressive places I had ever seen. great mountains, great landscape around and good accomodation. my advice is to book the accomodation in time. I was in the tent camp closed to the torres del paine because the hostel was full. it was so windy that I coudn't spleep and the tent get broken. (beginning of january).... more

Puyuhuapi Lodge & Spa

I enjoyed at this amazing lodge a 4 night-stay programm at the end of March. I've never been in such a beautiful place before. It's located in a hidden bay in the chilean fiords of Patagonia, in one of the most picturesque spots that you can imagine: native woods, green waters, hills & natural hot springs The staff was awesome,... more

I agree with most of the previous review. We did find it hard to find as there were no signs. Little English is spoken, but I realized this after my first email, as the reply was totally in Spanish and so after that I corresponded with them in Spanish. The room was a little old fashioned. It was large, but... more

Weskar Patagonian Lodge

May 26, 2008

Only stayed one night but we found the Weskar to be very clean and comfortable. Our room was large with two extra beds and a sofa - obviously a family room and so we had plenty of room for luggage. The view was spectacular. A previous review mentioned that the room price is high, but we found that was case... more

Hotel Rio Serrano

We are a middle aged couple. Drove a 2-wheel drive car from El Calafate. Roads are rough, but dry on our visit, so no problem. We only had two nights in Torres de Paine. Wish we had a week. Rio Serrano is well-located if you have wheels. It would be especially convenient if you are coming from Puerto Natales. The... more

La Casa Escondida

May 25, 2008

La Casa Escondida was a home away from home...everything you could ask for in a little hideaway just outside of town. The "hidden house" is a quaint, quiet, and very comfortable little abode with beautiful grounds where you can hear the wind whistling through the trees. There is a nice sauna that we enjoyed while we stayed at the property,... more

My husband and I stayed at the Remota a few weeks ago and had a wonderful time. I cannot speak highly enough about this hotel, and I would recommend it to anybody. In planning our trip to Chile, we wanted a place from which to explore Patagonia and the Torres del Paine national park. We didn't know whether we should... more

Spent one night here in March '08 and experienced no problems. The room was spacious and quiet, and everything in it was clean and worked properly. The breakfast was fine, and the staff were friendly and helpful with taxi arrangements and dining suggestions. Also appreciated the free internet station in the lobby. As others have noted, there are a lot... more

Having read the reviews on Trip Advisor prior to our visit (it was book by a travel agent as part of a 4 week trip to S.A) I was a bit worried about what we would find here, but what a very pleasant surprise! The scenery is stunning. We must have been very lucky with our room because we couldn't... more

The location of this hotel is at the base of Lago Grey and the main dining room and bar area face the lake for wonderful views all day long. You can walk the pebbled beach below and view parrots in the trees but you need to go on the day cruise to the glacier! If you are staying at the... more

There isn't a single property, including the pricey Remota, that has a better view....although not from your room. It is very expensive but so is everywhere else in Torres Del Paine. It is dated and is in need of redecorating. The walls are thin but we weren't there when the place was packed. I'd suggest asking for one of the... more

We chose this hotel for it's location near the square (able to walk around town easily) and because it is a smaller property of historic significance. We were very happy with our experience here. The property is delightful for those of us who enjoy antiques. Yes, the rooms are small...but so what? How long are you in it? We did... more

who needs one??????? just look to the window and the breathtaking view that is going to open before your eyes is simply amazing, there are no real words to describe that view. The room was ample and clean, food was pretty good (bit expensive, but nothing is cheap down there), and the best of all (aside of the view) was... more

Puyuhuapi Lodge & Spa

Apr 25, 2008

My whole trip to Aisén in northern Patagonia was magical, but I was really surprised to find a hotel/spa of this calibre hidden in the forest bordering a fjord. The lodges' rustic chic accomodations offer guests a top-notch dining experience including delicious Chilean wines and the best cuisine I tasted in the region. Another surprise is soaking in the spa's... more
