Some wait staff is really young and inexperienced but if you can get past their rudeness and messing up your order then the food is pretty decent and there's a good lounge bar atmosphere. Food = average but the setting and atmosphere is one-of-a-kind in Gabs. Wait staff are frequently rude though. You get a comment card at the end of your meal where you can rate the service. I would've thought that would have helped by now...? more

Great service and excellent steak! But if you like yours rare/med-rare make sure you ask for it on a cold (white) plate! Everything comes out on sizzling hot plates and by your 3rd bite, you're eating well-done meat! Friday nights this is where the party's at in Gabz-city. Beware of drunken teens and backpackers! more

Always reliable and great italian food. The staff tries really hard, always giving 100%, even if the service isn't right on the mark. Just make sure you book if it's a weekend night or public holiday! more

Great atmosphere in summer, b/c you can sit outside, but otherwise the food (lately) has been very average and the prices are the highest in town. Not worth it for the cool outdoor setting. more

We booked into the Kgale View Lodge to attend a conference nearby. Overall the outside of the Lodge is neat and well cared for. Our room was large with good decor. Check in was efficient even though it was a manual process. We were also told before arrival that we could only pay cash, and not use any credit cards... more
