My husband and I did the Machame route over 7 days. Take the extra day, it's worth it. This is a hard trail, make sure you train. The outside of the hotel & grounds are very nice. The pool area is nice to lounge around, and the hotel is situated conveniently on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
